Volunteer Your Time with the FPPA

Join our efforts and become a member. Send us an e-mail telling us about your interests or skills. We will match those interests or skills with a project and contact you for assistance. Register for an Upcoming Event Fun activities are a great way to get people involved. Check our recent and upcoming events page and send us an e-mail if you are interested. Here's some of our current volunteer needs:

Ongoing -  Blue Bird project: The Bluebird Trail Project at the Norristown Farm Park is part of a nationwide conservation project that has been very successful in increasing the numbers of eastern bluebirds.  Volunteers build and repair birdhouses, set up bluebird house trails and monitor the houses throughout the nesting season from March until August.  Monitoring involves recording data about species of bird using the houses and  the number of eggs, hatchlings and fledglings. No experience is necessary to volunteer. The amount of time a volunteer spends on the project is flexible and depends upon his/her schedule.

The FPPA Membership Drive is in progress: recruit a neighbor or friend and get half off you next membership renewal.  Just have the new member put your name on the membership application indicating you recruited him/her and we will give you half off your next renewal.

There is much work to be done and all projects require financial support. Your contributions are income tax deductible. Your entire contribution (100%) will be used for the benefit of the Norristown Farm Park.

Write a Letter or Sign a Petition to Your State and Local Officials to make them aware of your desire for them to Preserve, Protect, and Promote the Norristown Farm Park.

The Norristown Farm Park Advisory Committee is made up of nine members.  This committee  represents and advises the County and East and West Norriton Townships on operation of the park which straddles the two townships and the borough of Norristown.
