Adopt-A-Tree Program to begin First Day of Spring!

The First Annual Spring Tree Care kicks off on March 20, 2008 at 5:30 PM at the Visitor’s Center.  It will begin with a demonstration of mulching and pruning on a young White Pine located at the beginning of the Meadow Trail right next to the Spring House in the Farm Park.  It should take no more than 1 hour and all are invited to attend.  Participants will see what the Adopt-A-Tree program is all about!  Enrollment is continuous, so it is never too late to join this growing new program.  Volunteering in this program can enhance college and scholarship applications as well as any resume.  Volunteers will learn about trees and help our park and community.  In case of inclement weather on this day or for more information, call 610-270-9972.  If you would like to help by donating any of the following, it would be very much appreciated:  shovels, rakes, spades, wheelbarrow, weed clippers, aluminum garbage pails.
