FPPA BOARD MEMBER HONORED We are very proud of our fellow Board Member, Chas Wood, who was honored with the prestigious Unsung Heroes Award on December 13, 2007 in Harrisburg at the Unsung Heroes Award Reception hosted by State Senator Constance H. Williams of the 17th District. During this reception, the Senate of Pennsylvania recognized “those citizens who have contributed to the enrichment and betterment of their communities.” Chas “earned distinction for his selfless acts of kindness and bravery”. The award noted that “Mr. Wood has won the respect of his many family members, friends, neighbors and acquaintances; brought honor upon himself, his family and his community; and helped to make our world a better place in which to live.” He has shown “exemplary citizenship and community service worthy of emulation”.
eat ideas. Exuberance is his middle name! In addition to his participation in the FPPA, he is President of the Stony Creek Anglers, who run the first Cooperative Trout Nursery in Montgomery County. This organization hosts the Annual Kids Bass Fishing Tournament. He also is a major player in the Stony Creek Cleanup Project every year.
Many thanks to you, Chas, and Congratulations! |
